On November 3, 2021, the School of Music held its first “Office Hours with the Dean” event.

Prof. Xiaogang YE, Dean of the School of Music, led teachers and students to visit the School’s newly opened library on the transitional campus. Prof. Xiaogang YE, Dean of the School, Prof. Zhenghong JIN, Consultant to the dean, Ms. Dingyun HU, Supervisor of the Human Resources and Finance Department, Ms. Yuting JI, Executive Officer of the Human Resources Department, and Mr. Wenkai MA, Executive Assistant of the Academic Affairs Department, answered the students' questions one by one, and shared some of their own experiences. Based on the suggestions and issues raised by students, corresponding adjustments and improvements have been made by the School.

“Office Hours with the Dean” has provided an opportunity for the dean, teachers and students to communicate, deepen mutual understanding and strengthen friendships. This is the first time for the School of Music to hold such an activity. In the future, the School will organize “Office Hours with the Dean" from time to time, so that students would have more opportunities to have face-to-face communication with the dean and teachers.
