On October 26, 2022, the International Computer Music Association (ICMA) Board officially announced that the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen has won the bidding for hosting the 2023 International Computer Music Conference (ICMC).

With the great attention and support of Prof. Xiaogang YE, the dean of the School of Music, after months of intensive preparation and through multiple rounds of presentations with a fully detailed bidding proposal, the steering committee received unanimous support from the ICMA Board. International Computer Music Conference (ICMC) is the largest and most important international academic conference in the field of computer music. It is held annually in different countries around the world, and it has been held for 47 years since 1974. As an innovative academic platform, which integrates music, art, culture, science, technology, and other disciplines, the ICMC has received extensive attention in the music and technology community and music industry thanks to its academic quality and leading role.

They will explore future creation and research of computer music. They will also discuss the new directions in the music and technology field.
