Jiapeng NIE is currently serving as a faculty at the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He is also a faculty at the Xinghai Conservatory of Music and director of the Shenzhen Cello Association, vice-chairman of the Shenzhen Young Musicians Association.

In 2016, He graduated from Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg with a Konzertexamen degree granted by Germany.

As one of the most active cellists in China, Mr. NIE has been invited as a soloist from many Orchestras and Music festivals in the world, including Philadelphia Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, China National Symphony Orchestra, China NCPA Orchestra, Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock Orchestra, Nürnberg Symphony Orchestra, Slovenian Philharmonic, Ukraine National Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra, Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, Taiwan Philharmonic (China), Evergreen Symphony Orchestra, Ljubljana Music Festival, Carniarmonie Festival, Emilia Romagna Festival, Ravello Festival, and Erfestival.
