Biography

Ni FU is currently serving as Assistant Dean (Admissions) and Professor at the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. She graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music majoring in sight-singing and ear-training, and stayed on as a teacher.

For 23 years, Ni FU taught as a teacher for both graduate and undergraduate students majoring in sight-singing and ear-training. She was hired by many domestic music colleges and art colleges to teach as a guest professor; whilst she served as an executive expert of many major research projects of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Culture and Tourism. She completed a number of research achievements at the national, provincial and ministerial levels, and accumulated achievements for disciplinary development and academic progression.

Ni FU participated in the founding of the “International Solfeggio Teaching Forum (Beijing)” and served as the Executive Director, scheming and hosting the China-France, China-USA, China-Italy and China-Russia solfeggio teaching weeks; and made outstanding contributions to make the Musicianship and Aural Skills Section at the Central Conservatory of Music the top and world-class solfeggio section in China.

She presided over the preparation of Basic Solfeggio Course for Citizens (containing 3 books), Course of Practicing Rhythm & Solfeggio, Fine Course of Solfeggio (Elementary, Intermediate & Advanced Book), Practical Course of Teaching & Learning Basic Music Theory, Music Listening — Solfeggio with Songs (Volume: Melody, Volume: Accompaniment), Collection of Award-winning Works from National Contest of Solfeggio & Music Theory Test Design in Art Colleges etc.; 31 sets of professional textbooks have been published by People’s Music Publishing House, Higher Education Press, Shanghai Music Publishing House, and Central Conservatory of Music Press.
