Biography

ZHU Yiping currently serves as a Collaborative Piano faculty at the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and a judge of the International Vocal Music Competition “Pietro Argento” in Italy. She used to work in several operas in Italy, including the Grand Theatre de Geneve of Switzerland, and the Royal Opera House of Muscat, Oman.

ZHU Yiping was admitted to Milan Conservatory (Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi di MILANO), Italy in 2012, majoring in Opera Coach and taught by Luigi Marzola, a famous vocal coach, and Umberto Finazzi, a vocal coach of La Scala Opera House (Teatro alla Scala), and graduated with full marks in 2016. During the above period, she worked as a piano accompanist many times in chamber music concerts and opera seasons, and as an opera coach in Saronno Theatre and Scalpellini Theatre in Italy, performed Così Fan Tutte with other artists, and rehearsed many operas, including Don Giovanni, Un Ballo in Maschera, Turandot, Carmen, La Sonnambula, Don Pasquale, Requiem (Mozart, Verdi, and Faure), and Symphony No. 9 (Beethoven).

ZHU Yiping was admitted to Accademia del Teatro alla Scala, Italy in 2016, majoring in Opera Coach and Stage Supervisor and taught by James Vaughan, Umberto Finazzi, and Vincenzo Scalera. While studying at La Scala Opera House (Teatro alla Scala), she participated in many opera and concert performances, for example, rehearsed Hänsel und Gretel and Le Barbier de Séville in Fraschini Opera House of Pavia and Auditorium Rai Opera House of Turin in 2017; rehearsed Orfeo ed Euridice with Juan Diego Florez, a world-famous tenor, in 2018; rehearsed LElisir dAmore and Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves in partnership with La Scala Opera House; performed the symphonic works of Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff, with famous Russian conductor Vladimir Fedoseyev and Scala Youth Symphony Orchestra at La Scala Opera House in the same year; and gave concerts in Grand Theatre de Geneve of Switzerland and Royal Opera House of Muscat, Oman in partnership with Scala Youth Symphony Orchestra again in 2019.
