Nuremberg University of Music

The Nuremberg University of Music (Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg) is an outstanding public higher music institution in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany. It has a profound historical heritage. Its predecessor was the "Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg-Augsburg", which was formed in 1998 by the merger of the "Meistersinger-Konservatoriums in Nürnberg" and the "Leopold-Mozart-Konservatoriums in Augsburg".

Its historic main building was comprehensively renovated in 2018 and equipped with advanced equipment.
As part of a long-standing collaboration with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra and the Nuremberg State Philharmonic Orchestra, students at the university can accumulate experience in a professional orchestra as part of a master's programme. Together with the Nuremberg State Theatre, the university runs the International Opera Studio master's programme, and concerts and symposia are regularly held at the Germanisches Nationalmuseum and the Neues Museum. With more than 250 events per academic year, the university provides students with a large number of opportunities for practice and communication.
